This project involved the construction of a new grade 5-9 LEED Silver certified school. The school caters to more than 900 students and has significantly improved the education facilities for surrounding communities.
Construction included the build of a modular classroom wing, two new gymnasiums, library, common areas and multiple multipurpose rooms.
Fast tracking the schedule was a top priority on this project. Preconstruction began months before turnover. Commissioning meetings took place bi-weekly. The team planned how to effectively sequence and power up certain equipment in the interest of maintaining the tight schedule. A separate pull plan session was also conducted two months before turnover.
We coordinated the mechanical and electrical trades closely to ensure all risks were eliminated and zero rework needed to be done. This transitioned into a smooth commissioning process.
