This facility provides a shelter for animals that are waiting for a new home. Design features include kennels with access to a large outside terrain park as well as various care and education spaces within the facility. The mechanical systems were also specially designed for the animal's well-being.
The site for this project was particularly challenging and required that the entire building be supported by slab on grade. We collaborated and communicated frequently to ensure that the construction was done with minimal impact to the structure.
Using our general contracting experience, we were able to meet the clien'ts vision and create a care centre for shelter animals as well as an education facility for the public.
The client has noticed increased adoption rates as a result of this facility and is proud to see their vision for the project realized.
