Oasis Fertility clinic is located within an occupied commercial building in Calgary, Alberta. Our scope of work included preconstruction to completion of state-of-the-art andrology and embryology labs, installation of cryogenic and medical gas systems as well as exam rooms, surgical procedure rooms and patient recovery bays. This work was completed by our national special services group (SSG).
One of the main challenges of the build was that we were renovating an existing office space, which was not particularly well suited for a sophisticated laboratory. The labs and clinical spaces also needed to be completely sealed off and separated from the base building air systems. We reinforced existing structural elements needed to support the new labs, the new rooftop backup generator and air handling equipment.
