The Bowness School modernization was a substantial renovation to an occupied school.
Major components of the renovation included a full mechanical and electrical replacement, a new addition to the school, interior CTS and classroom modifications, a new parking area, and a new water line. We also installed kitchen equipment and a new sprinkler system. These modernizations have enhanced the functionality, security, and safety of the facility while upgrading infrastructure and learning spaces throughout the school.
The completion date of September 2016 was non-negotiable for the Calgary Board of Education and we were able to achieve completion by the requested date. The project team collaborated with the city and the design team to include the added scope of a robotics lab, within the original project schedule.
