This is a retail complex for high-end shops on Yorkville Avenue in Toronto. The project required the demolition of two buildings, preparation of a new site, and erection of a new structure complete to core and shell.
We aimed to execute the tenant fit-out as well as create an understanding of the values of integrated project delivery (IPD) with the owner. The building was designed to maintain a luxury feel with an increase use of glass, high ceilings, and high-end details. These details included natural stone, polished textured porcelain panels, prefinished metal plates, and tailored trimmings around window display openings.
Because the site was located in an area with heavy pedestrian traffic and busy community hubs, we deployed a website to inform the community about what activities are happening. We also have a community engagement person assigned to handle all questions and issues at the street level.
