West Kelowna Firehall

West Kelowna Fire Rescue offers emergency response, fire prevention, and rescue services to the West Kelowna and Westbank First Nation regions. Originally built in 1971, the facility operated as a volunteer hall was due for an upgrade to accomodate growth within the community.

Construction includes demolition to the existing community centre to make way for a new multi-purpose fire hall and recreation centre. Once complete, the fire hall will combine emergency response services and community amenities like indoor and outdoor public washrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, adaptable training rooms, space for the tennis club, a hockey rink, and a recreation area.

The 16,640 sq. ft. fire hall features precast concrete walls, both inside and out, ensuring outstanding durability and longevity. The facility also includes a hose tower designed for practical training, equipped for conducting repelling drills down its face.

We are using the design-build delivery method, which encourages close collaboration between the design and construction teams.
