Delivering low-carbon construction and retrofit solutions
Sustainable construction requires more than good intentions. Owners are looking for practical ways to reduce carbon impact and improve energy performance across both new construction and existing buildings. Achieving meaningful progress means understanding how design and construction decisions translate into measurable environmental outcomes.
Our teams deliver low-carbon construction solutions through energy-efficient design, targeted retrofits, and material reuse. By integrating emissions tracking and material circularity into our construction processes, we help clients and partners deliver projects that perform better today while supporting long-term climate goals.

Centre for Indigenous Laws
At the University of Victoria, this 29,000 sq. ft. mass-timber facility advances sustainable academic design through all-electric systems and low-carbon materials. The project delivers a purpose-built centre for teaching, gathering, and research, with Indigenous-informed spaces that support ceremony and learning.
Svante
Supporting carbon capture and removal, this redeveloped facility integrates resilient construction and efficient materials to reduce emissions across its lifecycle. The project transforms an existing building into 141,000 sq. ft. of research, office, and warehouse space though seismic stabilization and reinforced slab construction.
The SunRise Building
In downtown Edmonton, this high‑rise retrofit incorporates solar cladding, envelope upgrades, and energy-efficient systems to improve building performance. The project scope included abatement and mechanical upgrades, along with the renewal of residential units and shared amenity spaces.
Peter Hemingway Aquatic Centre
Through a phased renewal approach, this project extends the life of a civic landmark by improving energy performance and building longevity. The renovation modernizes a 27,000 sq. ft. recreation centre with complex roof replacement, upgraded mechanical systems, and improved accessibility while preserving its iconic form.

What sets us apart
PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE
Low-carbon construction requires careful coordination between design and construction. Our project teams understand how building systems and construction sequencing influence embodied carbon and long-term operational performance, allowing us to implement sustainable strategies effectively throughout construction.
MEASUREABLE OUTCOMES
We work closely with owners, consultants, and partners from the start to align targets and performance requirements. Early collaboration helps identify carbon-reduction opportunities and manage risk, resulting in predictable schedules and measurable sustainability outcomes across both construction and retrofit projects.
LONG-TERM PERFORMANCE
Our teams account for regional requirements and climate conditions when delivering sustainable construction projects. This approach supports durable, energy-efficient buildings that reduce emissions and perform reliably over their full lifecycle.
COLLABORATION
Because our teams work locally, we understand the broader project environment, including owners, designers, trade partners, and suppliers. We collaborate closely to integrate sustainable practices such as material reuse, waste diversion, and emissions tracking into project delivery, supporting shared responsibility for environmental outcomes.
