We offer a range of paid student opportunities, including internships, co-op placements, and seasonal student roles. Availability varies by division, project needs, and current hiring requirements.
Some popular student roles include Project Coordinator, Estimator, Accounting Clerk, Labourer, Human Resources Intern, and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Coordinator, among others.
We welcome applications from post-secondary students enrolled in programs that align with the discipline of the role they are applying for. We look for students who are curious, collaborative, and motivated to learn.
Students receive an onboarding experience that includes safety training, role-specific learning, and day-one support. Many students work closely with their manager and team who provide guidance and exposure to meaningful work throughout the placement.
Co‑op placements typically range from 4 to 8 months, based on post‑secondary school requirements. Registered Apprentice Program (RAP) student roles are summer placements, lasting 2 months in July and August.
Yes, many students return for multiple student terms or transition into full-time roles after graduation. Student placements are an important part of how we grow our teams, and strong performance can lead to entry-level or new-graduate opportunities.
Student opportunities at Chandos are shared primarily through school job boards, aligned with academic work terms. While some positions may also appear on our careers page, the best practice is to regularly monitor your school’s job board.
