This facility is considered to be the most technologically advanced greenhouses in North America and the first LEED Gold Certified Greenhouse in Canada. It features 40,000 sq. ft. production greenhouse, an 8,000 sq. ft. header house, and a 12,000 sq. ft. research greenhouse.
An existing green house and header house was first demolished which included asbestos abatement procedures. We then proceeded to construct the three new buildings and preformed extensive activities related to power line relocation and utility site work. The research wing of the facility features containment laboratories which require strict control of construction procedures to build so that they meet their functional use. Our team worked closely with the client and design team in this regard.
