Chandos has developed five restaurants for Blackbird Pub Ltd., a leading hospitality group with eighteen other locations throughout Calgary.
This 4,200 sq. ft. restaurant in particular was a high-end tenant improvement in the new Auburn Station retail development.
Designed by McKinley Burkart, the project features include ornate millwork coffered ceilings, bar and doors mixed with art deco features and accessories. The restaurant includes an 800 sq. ft. patio with a trellis and a one-of-a-kind glass-walled keg room.
This project was completed in three-and-a-half months and opened on schedule and under budget. We tendered the project then explored a series of value engineering options to maximize the value and maintain design intent while reducing the overall costs of the project.
