We're builders with purpose

When we build, all things are considered. Every detail matters.

Your building is more than its materials and structure.

It's a place for community. A place for innovation. And together, we can build a place that creates a more sustainable future too. Because long after the concrete is cured and the beams are placed, the way we build leaves lasting impacts.

We collaborate before we create

Starting with early engagement of key stakeholders, we work with clients, trade partners, and consultants to build trust. We continuously innovate through our collaborative approach - leading to more efficiency, cost savings, and a much better working experience for everyone.

We build great buildings

And, a better community. By diversifying our supply chain to include social enterprises we're enriching lives. When we collaborate and share knowledge we encourage innovation and growth. Caring for the planet by reducing carbon - during and after construction - is table stakes for us.

Our values are in everything we do

Inclusion. Collaboration. Ingenuity. Innovation. These values help us create places where all people belong, listening and learning from each other to spark ideas and create positive change in our industry. We don't just believe these things. We live them everyday.

TOGETHER

This is how we build

For a more prosperous today and a sustainable tomorrow.

Because long after the concrete is cured and the beams are placed, the way we build leaves lasting impacts. We are Chandos. We build better worlds, cities, communities - together.

OUR WORK

Learn about recent projects

BC Housing Integrated Health-Housing Facility, IPD: $81M

While this is the first Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) contract to be signed in Vancouver, what's more impressive is the IPD team's social value goals. The team has committed to spend at least 10 per cent of the project's value through social procurement, partnering with social enterprises, buying from diverse-owned businesses, and hiring diverse and local talent. The building will have 10 floors and a two-level underground parkade. Read More

Molson Tower Heritage Restoration, CM: $18.4M

This heritage construction project involved upgrading and preserving a 100 year old building in downtown Edmonton. The scope of work included updating the beams pocketed into the load-bearing masonry one-by-one and a complete restoration of the interior and exterior masonry. Building restoration and retrofit projects are an important part of a carbon reduction plan. This building received LEED Silver Certification. Read More

Barrie Simcoe Emergency Services Campus, IPD: $86M

During the validation phase of the Barrie Simcoe Emergency Services Campus the IPD team was asked to reduce the original budget by $20 million. The team applied target value design concepts to assess the scope and re-imagined the project without compromising the timeline. In a more traditional delivery method like Design-Bid-Build, this might have been impossible. The City of Barrie recently awarded Chandos a second IPD project. Read More

College of the Rockies Student Housing Complex, CM: $16M

This student housing project is the first multi-dwelling complex in Canada built to achieve Passive House Certification. A voluntary standard for energy efficiency in a building, Passive House results in ultra-low energy buildings that require little energy for space heating or cooling. During construction, great care was taken to protect the surrounding forest with minimal impact to the trees and trails. Read More
